Nevada is not the only desert area in the US, but the contrast between its arid regions and the luscious landscape of its top golf courses is the most extreme. Between swaying palms, tall pines, and flowing streams, it’s no surprise that many of the courses built in Nevada have been built for the elite and are therefore available exclusively to golfers at resorts attached to the playing grounds.

There are two important golf associations in Nevada: the Northern Nevada Golf Association and the Southern Nevada Golf Association. Recently the leaders of both the Northern Nevada Golf Association and the Southern Nevada Golf Association have combined efforts to create a new Nevada golf online resource, the aptly named Nevada State Golf Association.
